Open up 2 instances of Vegas, select all from the first. Click copy. Go to the second instance and click paste.

I did but when I try to drag and drop it gives me the zero slash sign. What I do is open two instances of vegas and left click on a clip in the project media window and try to drag ands drop in another project. What am I doing wrong?

Did you try to select all, click copy in the first instance and then click in the second instance and click paste (no drag/drop)?
