No. Movie Studio 17 is the last "VEGAS" version. All versions of Movie Studio after 17 are an entirely different product.

But you CAN finish them in VEGAS Pro 20! VEGAS Pro would be the proper upgrade path to Movie Studio versions 17 and older.

I don't know what the upgrade price is for Vegas from MS, but the current version of Movie Studio is an updated/rebranded Magix Movie Edit Pro.

You might not like the way it edits, and backwards compatibility with past MS projects has been more "miss" than "hit".

I gather it only imports your clips and their trim points. Nothing else. So FX etc are lost. I don't know what happens to track arrangements especially Parent/Child combinations.

Please note that Movie Studio 2023 and other non-VEGAS Movie Studio versions (18 and later) are supported at https://www.magix.info/us/video-forum/movie-studio/
