Is it just me or did Sony fix something and I missed it.
It seems I can now copy and paste events and subclips direct from the timeline between two open instances of vegas, before this always crashed and you could only move via media folders.
sorry in my excitement I forgot to say and sub clips, which definitely did not work in previous versions, and Sony confirmed only route was via moving in folders.
I've done this, but it only seems to work between two instances of the same version of SVP. I tried to copy from SVP v11 to SVP v9, and it didn't work.

What doesn't work is copying from 64-bit Vegas to 32-bit Vegas or vise-versa. You can copy/paste between different versions, as long as they are the same bitness.
To reiterate, do you have to have both .veg files open at the same time? I had tried this (in 11) and failed, but perhaps did not have both open at the same time....
And is there a procedure for having both open at the same time? It seems as if one closes always when I open the other.
It is very, very important for me to be able to use this function, so thanks in advance for your info.
Indeed it is just the pointers, just like what's stored in the .veg files. But this still doesn't explain why Vegas clears them from the clipboard when you close the project. Most programs don't, and those that do usually ask you if you want to clear it or not.
I thought you could copy between 64bit versions of Vegas if there were no OFX effects. I'm not sure now, but isn't that (or something like that) the case?
