Copy project with media

Hi guys. I have started backing up my projects using the Copy Media with Project option. Has anyone done this with the 'Create trimmed copies of source media' option selected in the 'Copy Media Options' dialog box?
I tried this with a project that contained a large video clip that I had trimmed, wanting to just save a copy of the trimmed clip to cut down the size of my backup. Every time I've tried this, VMS hangs and doesn't complete the save. I have to use Task Manager to close it down.
I'm using VMS HD Platinum 11 build 283. Can someone try it for me and see if it does the same?
Thanks in advance.

Jack,
tried the same with a very small project. Not responding for a moment but then saved and closed OK.
VMS 11 build 283.

How large is the file, and how long have you waited? Could it be that it's just taking Vegas a very long time to trim the file?

Hi both,
It was a large video clip, 3.74G. You must be right, I didn't wait long enough. I'll try it again and go and do something else.
Thanks to you both for responding.
