Do you also have a question other than only a remark?
Things you are misssing are better reported to the Magix/Vegas makers by a support request than on this userforum .

There is no corner pinning in Movie Studio, nor in Vegas Pro. Using Ignite Pro plug-in would offer corner pinning.

FayFen wrote on 4/24/2019, 11:37 AM

J-V, This indeed was a question,

But now I will make a remark

30 years ago we had a DOS program on 386 PC we could calculate corner pining data for our video DVE, so today nada? pip only on screen plane?

So also no that ?

That is realy a pity, and absolutely doesn't make sense to me.

The amplitude of what is great and what is bad in VMS is very high, unfortunately.

There is no "eierlegende Wollmilchsau" in the world.

3POINT wrote on 4/24/2019, 11:40 AM

Ignite Quad Warp does the effect. Here you can get those free FX : https://fxhome.com/ignite-express

The effect you showed here can be done with the Deform FX in VMS. Do not blame the software when you just don't know yet how to work with it.

As it's about 50 years since I studied Deutsch and "eierlegende Wollmilchsau" never came up then anyway AFAICR, I needed to look up that phrase. Not much to my surprise it seems to mean "all-in-one device suitable for every purpose".

I don't mind you attack me, but I wonder why?

Don't you think a creative based software should give creative tools?

Seams to me few of you are fine with VMS as is and all magix development team can look for other job.

I manged to go up to this in an awkward way with deform

** OK, the quad warp is indeed a corner pining,

Marco. wrote on 4/24/2019, 1:58 PM

There are lots of creative tools in Movie Studio to gain tons of creative tasks. But there is no NLE available which offers everything. As 3Point mentioned above there are several ways to achieve perspective frame adjustments in Movie Studio even if there is no corner pinning build-in. If the Deform FX doesn't serve your needs, try the Ignite Express Corner Pinning (which actually is called "Bezier Warp" and "Quad Warp" in Ignite) which is a free plug-in. That's what plug-in interfaces are made for.

I don't like people with a negative attitude. Just tell your problem and you will get a solution from the experienced users here. Keep in mind, they don't get paid for doing this, so at least a "thank you" from your side would be appreciated.

I've tried the Ignite Express "Quad Warp" but it has limitations. If you move a corner outwards you lose sight of the pin point, and with VMS you cannot zoom out your preview image within its window to try and find it. Also I wasn't impressed with the render quality compared to using VMS's own Deform FX along with Pan/Crop.

I wish VMS had the equivalent of the "3D Distortion FX" found in Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus.

I did make a search before the post but look as I missed by one n.

3point, it's OK not to like people with a negative attitude, but if not them we would still ride on horses and carriages.
