JRey wrote on 11/14/2016, 10:00 AM

I am using Vegas Pro 13 and this has only been happening since the last Win 10 update.  Anyone else having this experience.  Here is the error log in case anyone actually understands it.

Maybe Windows 10 update changed your GPU driverversion into one not working with Vegas Pro 13.
Therefore change the driver version into a newer or older one or disable GPU on preview and render.

HI Cornico

Spot on.  GPU turned itself back on after the update.  Would you know if there is anything that actually works effectivly with GPU?

Thank you for your help.

Depends on the CPU.
GPU rendering will help with with a weaker CPU, is the CPU strong influence is less or nothing.

To be honest I normally have GPU turned off everywhere and only render using CPU as it seems to be the most efficient and safe way to render.  From what I have read GPU should have worked but does not in terms of Vegas Pro 13.  Some cards handle it better than others but its a technology that never grtew up to be usefull.

Have you tried installing the latest update that was made available?

Hi Eric

Thanks for the info, I have downloaded this version but before I press the install button I have V 373 installed on a 64bit machine.  Would you know what the difference is between this version and the link above.  I have looked in the forum but can't seem to find any information.

Thank you

John

Don't know about the subsequent MAGIX branded VEGAS Pro 13 builds besides this thread, but the last Sony VP13 release notes are here http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/releasenotes/vegaspro13.0.453_readme_enu.htm

HI Vkmast

Thanks for clarification.  Just checked my version of Vegas Pro 13 and I have the lstest build (453) so I think I will leave well alone for the moment and just follow the threads and see what the new Magix realease brings.

Thank you for your help

VP13 builds 543 and 545 from Magix are just re-brands of Sony build 453. There is no new or improved functionality and it actually loses compatiblity with some plugins and scripts. So in my opinion it's best to stick with 453 in most cases.

What model is your GPU?

JRey wrote on 11/17/2016, 4:00 AM

Hi Nick

Thought so but thanks anyway.  GeoForce GTX 970 so I tend to turn off the GPU in New Blue FX and only render using CPU.
