Customizing Toolbar

Hope you can help. I have searched every place I could think of on the web and your site before coming to you with this.
I just upgraded to VMS 14 and have several questions (issues) but will ask just the two biggest ones for me in this thread.
I am a user of VMS 12 and my questions are related to features that were in 12 but seem to be gone in 14.

First, customizing of the toolbars appears to be gone in 14. Is this true or am I missing something? I REALLY miss this feature!!
Second, the vertical scroll bar is now gone until you get enough tracks on your display to bring it up. Can this be turned on
so it is on all the time. I also really miss being able to double click the vertical bar to toggle back and forth between min. and max. of tracks.

Thanks so much!

Thanks vkmast...Derek gave me a keyboard shortcut for min/max of tracks. Big help.

Do you have any thoughts on why no customize toolbar. Could this change in VMS 15? Where would we voice our desires to Magix? Here?

Looks like I did have some thoughts in the year of 2014 😎. VMS 15 may be out soon, so we'll see the changes then. And yes a feature request here. This has come up occasionally here since 2014.

The OP reports this in his other thread elsewhere: "When you double click the Bottom Toolbar the customize [toolbar] window comes up (just like in 12) but only the current buttons are shown. (I guess you can move those buttons around.) No others are given to add." Would this be an oversight or a feature left there on purpose?

David - of interest which buttons would you like to add. To me it contains just about everything.

Playing further with the Toolbar I thought I'd rearrange the order. But you can't. Move Up and Move Down does nothing to the items other than the Separators. Also the Help button doesn't open anything. At least not on my installation.

I don't see the need either as it is actually the Transport and Editing Toolbar window which comes up. The discussion has been about customizing the main Toolbar as before.

Compared to MS12 the top or Main Toolbar in MS14 is a shadow of what it was as the editing items are now in the bottom Transport and Editing Toolbar Consequently there's little left in the Main one to customise. Personally I find having the edit items at the bottom much more convenient for my way of working.

True in part, as What's New in v 13 Help says "New toolbar added below the timeline to make timeline editing more efficient." But personally I found the possibility of adding e.g. Vasst FasstApps buttons to the v 12 main Toolbar convenient (not possible of course in v 13, in v 14 they're not yet working though jr is still working to get them updated as well).

Thanks guys for the comments. I don't mind the toolbar at the bottom. I just need to get used to it since I am used to using 12. As to things to add, I use the save as, render as and a few other items from the drop down menus quite a lot so I would add them and rearrange things to suite. Also get rid of the clutter of icons not used. I guess I just don't get the need to take away a feature that is so convenient and available in so many other applications. Even previous versions like 12! Maybe it will come back. It's definitely not a show stopper, just one of missing an old feature you've grown used to. One other thing, the customize window that comes up when double clicking the bottom toolbar is definitely buggy or they just overlooked it. The only thing you can do is remove items and/or reset. Can't even rearrange, which would be of some use. At least to me. And yes, the help button leads nowhere. Anyway, it's still the best software for the money!
