Do you have a fixed number of Vegas Pro Move(files) imports? When you open this file in a new window, it opens properly during operation, but when the number of mov files increases, you get the mov file, but you go offline. Not every time. It works normally three or four times, but suddenly goes offline and reruns, and the operation stops. I tried formatting yesterday, but there was no result. However, if you open a movie in a new window, it opens well. As the number increases, it suddenly goes down.

@yoo-changyun does "Las Vegas Pro Move" actually mean "VEGAS Pro .mov (files)"? Please change the topic title in that case. "Las Vegas" does not seem to be relevant here.

The perils of machine translation. Yes, it seems like VEGAS Pro .mov files is the intended subject line.

Yoo, what are in these files? If they require the old Quicktime plugin (qtplug) there is a memory limit. I would transcode those files to another format (AVC MP4, ProRes, etc.) for editing in Vegas.

기계적이다. 예, VEGAS Pro .mov 파일이한 줄인 것.

유, 이 파일에 진출한? 이전 Quicktime(qtplug)이 필요하세요. 베스에서 편집하기 위해 해당 파일을 형식(AVC MP4, ProRes 등)으로 입력합니다.

Now, I have to do several tasks at once, but rather than having problems with a specific mov file, I can't use other formats because of the alpha value.

베가스 프로에서 새 창을 열어서 사용하면 잘 열립니다. 다시 작업을 시작하고 mov 파일 수가 증가하면 오프라인이 되어 열리지 않습니다.

RogerS wrote on 3/25/2022, 4:15 AM

Can't you re-encode to ProRes with an alpha channel?

The number of mov files is over 150... I'm confused to convert all of these files because the deadline is approaching. These were good files, but it's not working even though I format them.

RogerS wrote on 3/25/2022, 4:44 AM

There's nothing wrong with the files, the problem is likely Vegas. If you click on the media and go to properties, what do you see for plugin?

If it's Quicktime, there are memory limits and 150 files may be too many for Vegas. Try a program like Shutter Encoder to re-encode them all to ProRes 4444 which has an alpha channel. I just tested a 4444 file and it's huge and needs a better computer than mine to play back. If some of them don't need an alpha channel convert them to something easier to use like ProRes 422.

I don't think you have a choice. (Unless you can edit this video using software other than Vegas).

Yes, if you use files that open with so4compound and not quicktime then you can use as many as you want.

One other idea that may help is to divide the video project into a fewer smaller ones. Then import the .veg files into a main project ("nested timelines"). This may be a workaround to let you use more QuickTime files? Not sure, I haven't tried it.

Or you could just use multiple .veg project files. Render each section and join them together in Vegas or using other software. That would reduce the number of QuickTime files in use at once.
