Do you think Vegas Pro 23 was a beta version?

hello :)

Do you think Vegas Pro 23 was a beta version of VP24?

I mean, there are tons of new features, and they're planning many more (titler, nested timeline), but given the lack of updates, and if I understand correctly, there's a new version of Vegas every year, they must be on version 24. So they've abandoned 23?

I heard there have been changes at Magix and that the Vegas development team is affected, but I'm wondering about the future of VP23. Will they focus on 24 at the expense of 23, or vice versa?

I find this version more stable overall but slightly less powerful than 22 or 19 (the version I recently used).

I'm not trying to criticize the Vegas development team, who do a great job; it was just a question that crossed my mind.

I didn't miss it; that's precisely the point of my question, and I mentioned it.😁

They're doing a great job to VP software and working hard!

But.... is the future Vegas Pro 24 or the updates to version 23?

For example these things is for the next version of VP or they planned for the actual?

Magix Software has been sold to RM Equity Partners, after 2 ""difficult"" years, i'm asking myself what do they want, and what will they do?

I'm really confident for the next They seem to have overcome the biggest hurdle, securing a new investor, but I get the feeling it's too soon for a new version. At the same time, isn't that what the new investors are hoping for?
After going from VP19 to VP23, if they do release a new version, I'll feel like the one I bought was just a "beta" of what they were actually planning.

(Regardless, I'm still happy with the product.:D )

No, I think it's an evolution of 22 that provides fixes and refinements to it. See the release history for details.

@Sunky Well, i am glad you are still happy with the product. Despite your uncertainties, rest assured Vegas Pro is quite safe...... And no, Vegas Pro 23 was not a beta version of VP24.

Of course, we can't really call it bêta. But i can tell they wanted to offer something new compared to 22, without quite managing to fully realize their vision.

In fact, some even went back to 22 (or another version)

23 is safe, but it miss something, did we know if they planned 24 or update 23 for what they want to do (titler, workflow timeline etc . . . ) this year ?

That makes sense to me- it showed strong promise but hasn't fully realized it. I guess we'll find out what happens next, there have been no announcements beyond what's in Hub on features in development.
