Does anyone edit 360 in Vegas?

I bought a Insta360 One X2 and I'm not impressed with their edit program (Insta360 Studio).

It seems to be affiliated with Premiere Pro because they keep pushing the plugin for PP so I'm wondering if Vegas Pro can pan and tilt and mark keyframes with 360 footage nowadays.

Yes, I've been editing 360 for some time in Vegas.

I was using Boris tools to reorient when I was editing 3D 360s in Vegas 13, but Vegas has some basic 369 FX now that suit my needs.

One trick: turn off 360 mode when you render.

Does Vegas Pro 365 have this tool or would I need to buy it?

Also I can't seem to be able to find 360 mode in the new version of VP, can you elaborate please?

It should...but I don't use the 365 version.

It is located in the project properties menu.

All it really does is enable the 360 preview.

The thing to bear in mind is the file you are editing is an equirectangular projection & you can edit it like any other video.

The 360 Output check box and Stereographic 3D mode can't be selected at the same time, so if you want to edit 3D you will have to toggle back and fourth if you want to do 3D titles, for example.

I caution you to uncheck the 360 output button prior to render because I, and others, had Vegas render black or green videos when it is checked. (I was heading out to get my Covid booster, so didn't have time to elaborate earlier.)

Ticking the 360 Output option (and Apply, OK) should activate your hidden 360 Mode button above the Video Preview window.
