Even with auto save, it's still a good idea to do a Save As periodically to create a new version of your project. This way you have the ability to go back to a previous version should the project file become corrupt or otherwise messed up.

Making a Save every-so-often is obviously a good Idea ( Good Practice, too), but SMS has a list of "Recent Projects" and this can become filled with similar projects if you "Save-As" too often.
I wonder if Sony ( or anyone here) knows a way of Ordering this list, so Recent (dot)vf files can be Ordered?.

FWIW - I'd like a set of three folders to be shown: ( and where I can move filenames about ).
"Starters" - mine set-up the "Layout" and Media-Bins, Call them: Work, Hope and Play
"Current" and one other in between for those projects that are
"Awaiting" - I.e. further media files, inspiration, etc.
A fourth list might behave as the current system, with Radio-Buttons could pull-up these other Groups . . . but if Sony wants to be really helpful, there should be room to add "Notes", just in case the Title needs explanation - this would be a simple TEXT region - not part of the filename.

harrie,
why don't you use Project > Save as > Save in > Create New Folder (as many as you can think of) > Save file.vf.
Those folders and files in them can be organized.
If and when "inspiration" hits you again, use Project > Open > Awaiting folder > file.vf.
You can turn off Recently used file list in Preferences.
Btw, do you know that Project Properties has a Summary tab, where you are able to add Comments?
