Can someone advise me on once you select in Vegas Pro Audit editor, which in my case takes you to Sound Forge 18 how do you edit it and resend it back to Vegas once completed.
When you select 'Open copy in Audio Editor' (Sound Forge) and saved, a new 'take' is created of the edited audio event in Vegas, The new 'take' is automatically is placed over the top of the original event. If you wish to compare the two (or more) takes, toggle the takes with the "T" key. If you select 'Open in audio editor', the entire event's file is opened in Sound Forge. When saved in SF, the file is (overwritten) the changes are permanent in Vegas as well.
when selecting open, which one is it "one in Sound Forge" or Open Copy in sound forge" please can you confirm, also i know how to increase the audio is "SF" how can you do this in Vegas on a selected part.
Hi @Ivor-Williams, assuming you have already designated Sound Forge as the 'Preferred audio editor' in the Vegas setting "Options> Preferences> Audio". As I previously stated, selecting an audio event (right-click) and choosing Open copy in audio editor creates a new 'take' of just the audio event in Vegas and opens it in SF for editing. OTOH, choosing Open in audio editor opens the event's entire file in SF and does not create a new 'take' in Vegas. If the file is edited or processed and saved in SF, the entire file is overwritten and 'undo' cannot reverse it. If you choose this mode, it is good to create a back-up file unless you are 110% positive you will not need to return to the unedited file.
i know how to increase the audio is SF .. how can you do this in Vegas on a selected part
If you mean, increase or decrease the volume of a track region. Create a track volume envelope by right-clicking the track header and choosing 'Create/Remove Envelopes'. You can also show/hide the volume envelope with the keyboard shortcut 'V'. Add transition points manually by right-clicking the volume envelope line and choose "Add point'. You can drag the points up/down and left.right or a region between two points. There are a selection of envelope keyboard shortcuts as well you may want to explore in the Help or the manual. Tip: if there is a region on the track you wish to increase or decrease the volume, highlight the region and drag the envelope line up or down and transition points will be added automatically. Aside from the show/hide 'V' key, most of the above can be used on the other automation envelopes as well.

'FX Track cast' is not a familiar term in the NLE world. Could you please explain more precisely what you mean including identifying what FX you have on the FX track. Also, what exactly happens in the middle of your video? Can you upload to this forum thread a video example of what happens mid-video?

If you want menus for the DVD, you'll need to use DVD Architect.
When I render Vegas Pro projects intended for use in DVD Architect, I render to a folder specifically intended for DVDA which I can subsequently easily find in DVDA's Explorer window.
Can anyone help me, i have edited a 19GB files in Vegas pro 22, used split as it is a two part show, i deleted the First part, then moved the second part to the start of the timeline and saved the files with a new name, The problem is that the original file of 19gb, is still there although it is not showing, have i saved it correct or should i done something different. help i seem to be going around in circles.everytime i render it, it is duplicating the audio over its self. Am i doing something wrong, when i look in the media tab it is still showing the first 19gb file although i removed it from the timeline.
