Are you referring to sending a Private Message? If yes, try resetting the Windows display setting to no higher than 100% and then try again. It's apparently a known problem - perhaps due to that pesky Vegas pop-up - that was discussed a few weeks ago on the forum in another post.

As @Dexcon says it's a known problem acknowledged by the admins and due to the VEGAS pop-up "invisible" overlay.
