Export list of files in project

Is it possible to export a list of files used in a project.

Eg if I create a slide show of say 300 photos that are in a folder containing 600 photos, is it possible to print out the names of the files used. When viewing the folder with a program that displays the photos this would help me to know which photo have been used.

I used to have this facility when I used Ulead Media Studio in the past.

I'm a Vegas Pro user so i'm not up on all the details of the Studio versions, but look under your View menu and see if you an "Edit details" display option. If so, this pops up a spreadsheet showing you all sorts of information about every piece of media in your project. You can resize and rearrange the columns, then copy & paste to any real spreadsheet or text editing program for saving & printing as you wish.

Unfortunately, Edit Details is an option in VPro only.

Do you use the Project Media bin? Click the lightening rod to ensure it is updated. That gives you all the media used in the project. If you want a list in a word processing document, try the following...

There isn't an edit decision log in Movie Studio., and I note that you can't copy/paste from the project media tab. However, can you export the project and save a copy of the media (under save as). Then, you can copy the filenames in File Explorer (in Win 8.1, you can select 'copy path'. Then paste into the document of interest for safekeeping. Not elegant, but it works.

Hi all, thanks for the info.

The way I've overcome this is to detach the Media tab and expand it to full screen. I then used the Snip tool to copy multiple sections of the list and pasted them into PaintshopPro. Once I had completed the copying (11 screens) I then printed the pictures to a program called FinePrint. This is a printer driver that allows you to print double sided, save the info to a file and do a few other things so I can recall the file list any time I want.
