External monitor not displaying correctly in VEGAS 19

AaronL wrote on 4/18/2022, 2:50 PM

I recently upgraded from V 17.

this function worked just fine.

Since upgrading when I hit the "video preview on external monitor" button ( al+shift+4) I get about 2/3 of the external video showing on my second monitor and about 1/3 coming across into my first monitor. The second monitor also shows about 1/3 of my desk top as if the whole video previewing is just being pushed a bit.

How do I get it so i works like it does in Vegs 17 - where video preview on an external monitor simply opens a full-screen version of the display that fills the second screen and only the second screen.?

For monitors of mismatched resolutions, select alternate high DPI and it should work.

Thanks, Roger - can you tell me what menu that function would be in. I checked preferences in video and video display and I don't see that option.

Sure- I had to open Vegas to remember myself. It's preferences/display and is the bottom checkbox.

I got help from Vegas support myself as I couldn't figure it out!

@walter-i, I think you meant to direct your comment toward the OP, @AaronL, not @jimbo20
