F keyframe moves only horizontally

I am learning pan and zoom on Movie Studio platinum 9 and the F and frame will move only horizontally...the frame will rotate however.

I can move it up and down using the Y scale, so that is a workaround. However would like to be able to just grab it

is there a properties setting somewhere that locks in this horizontal only movement? I can see where that would be appropriate, say panning along the exact line of type or a horizon.

I don't have VMSP 9, but in Help (F1) of v10 and newer there's an article Panning and Cropping Video Events, which tells you much about various buttons etc. like Move Freely (X or Y).

On the left side of the Event FX window, at the bottom, is a double headed arrow. Clicking this switches the arrows between horizontal, vertical, and 4-headed which allow you to move the keyframe only horizontally, only vertically, or anywhere you want, respectively.
