I would like to create slide shows and videos from my photo and video items. I used Sony Vegas Pro 10 but I had other issues to attend and I left out of the later releases.
Vegas Movie Studio is no longer in development so you should look at the latest versions of Vegas Pro but check that your system has sufficient specs. There is a 30 day trial available.
If a slide show is your main concern, you could also recommend Photostory deluxe from Magix, is better focused on this task, albeit different operating logic, but rather simple. Some complex fine tuning as in Vegas Pro is omitted, but you also need much less know how than in Vegas.
The price is currently around 50$, at least cheaper than Vegas. You can also get a free trial version here.
