Gentlemen good evening - I have taken Vegas as an exclusive platform of work for a long time, can confer my loyalty to Magix, maybe I am one of their oldest customers in Brazil, because well my Vegas Pro 16 does not work properly since the acquisition a few years ago, I got used to the problem and gave up trying to solve the issue of no longer having a Floating Screen, that I can move to my second monitor, yet I adapted to the product.

To my sad surprise, I went to use today a corrector of color and brightness and i noticed that they did not work anymore, sensational no? I tested all the Effects and none of them works anymore, not even those who were already Vegas natives, a long time ago, in parallel I am being bombarded daily by update and upgrade messages that I confess are not part of my immediate plans, I do not know if you gentlemen were informed, but the pandemic broke many people, myself included.

Even today I answered a satisfaction survey, obviously it made me freak out with anger, Magix wants to know the future trends for Vegas, the form did not give me a suitable option, so I decided to write, everything good and different in your suite, you are slowly killing in favor of emulate ADOBE,  everyone who has opted for Vegas in the past, they've run away from ADOBE, I'm sorry to say, but you're killing your product.

As for my problem: My Vegas Pro 16 Suite, I want it integrates, as I acquired it from MAGIX about 3 or 4 years ago, will be of great value to me, until I can again dream of having an updated VEGAS, or by subscription rendering in 8K, until then, I ask you to help me get back for what I paid.

Please note that this is a peer-to-peer forum and no-one on the forum can arrange a refund for you. It is doubtful if any company of any product at all would provide a refund for a product released/purchased some 4 years ago (but local consumer laws may apply).

I understand that you are experiencing some problems, but we have no information at all about your computer etc. Please refer to https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/important-information-required-to-help-you--110457/ and provide the requested information under points B & C. Indeed, I'm struggling to even find a request for help in your post.

Presumably your Vegas Pro 16 has worked for some years. What has changed recently that may have caused the change in its behaviour? Have you changed computers or changed the OS? This is of course if you are seeking help from the forum with your Vegas Pro 16 problem.

And importantly, there are women who use Vegas Pro and are forum members - all forum members are not just male.

As the OP probably actually seems to want us to help him "get back" VP 16 (=work again), maybe as the software "is behaving strangely" he should try resetting the software to default settings (following the instructions closely)..At least worth a try if not done yet.

Obrigado DEXCON agradeço sua valiosa preocupação e colocarei as informações no LINK que você sugeriu, aqui vai um resumo, agradeço imensamente ao VKMAST também, irei tentar a sugestão de "limpar" as configurações feitas ao longo dos anos, adianto que nunca fiz nenhuma alteração na máquina ao longo destes anos, é o mesmo computador com os mesmos dispositivos desde que o montei e configurei, trata-se de um Ryzen 5 com 6 núcleos, Placa Quadro P620 e 64Giga de RAM - 250 giga para sistemas na M2, 1 Terabyte no HD de trabalho e mais 6 Terabytes no HD de armazenamento, Windows 10 Pro 64bits ....... é uma instalação simples não uso 4K menos ainda 8K, portanto creio que ela me atenda, sinceramente estou pensando em fazer downgrade para uma versão mais velha do VEGAS e isto não teria muita lógica não é mesmo?

@Jose-Melati Boa Tarde, tudo bem? Seus maqucina é bom ainda. A ideia: "Vegas nao é Adobe" é uma proposta discutível. Eu não acho que os recursos estão deixando o programa lento, necessariamente. Não é ou/ou I don't think the "new features" are slowing the program down, necessarily. It is not either/or. A discussão é realmente mais sobre recursos de desenvolvimento, tamanho da equipe de desenvolvimento, orçamento e se esses recursos vão para estabilidade e velocidade de reprodução versus novos recursos.The discussion is really more about developmental rescources, size of the development team, budget, and should those resources go towards stablity and playback speed vs. new features.

Good advice to re-install program.

Se dinheiro é um problema, eu recomendo que você faça um período de teste com 19 (em breve será a versão 20) e então talvez alugue o programa por um mês ou dois e veja se seus problemas diminuem. Boa sorte!

That should not be an issue, that is more likely a computer/OS/monitor setup problem, not a VEGAS problem, or you just need to understand the newer "floating window" access.

Boa tarde e obrigado a todos aqui - em particular Dexcon, vkmast e seb-o - uso o VEGAS desde a Versão 6 - tempos anteriores à sua distribuição no Brasil e aos Fóruns e todas as maravilhas que vieram posteriormente, ainda não tenho necessidade de renderizar 4K ou 8K - pra isto teria de escalar minha máquina para Ryzen 9 e uma GPU Quadro nova com 4GB de memória, confesso que estou sem dinheiro no momento, perdi muitos clientes na pandemia, mas enfim é a vida, não é mesmo? adotei a solução sugerida pelo vkmast e ela funcionou maravilhosamente bem, estou muito satisfeito e usarei mais este fórum, abraços a todos Melatti

Não, essa memória na placa de vídeo teria que ser bem maior, pelo menos 8 e 8 é o mínimo absoluto. Provavelmente 24

I'm not running bleeding edge, or even close. I've got a couple of machines networked, the best is an older Zeon based HP workstation, Z420. 64GB ECC RAM I updated the modest Quadro card to a 2060 Nvidea and put a fast m.2 NVME (I believe) PCI SSD and a few other drives. I'm not using that machine right at this very moment to check. But I'll try to do that later. I use that machine mostly for video and my other, mostly audio, which is an i7 3770s CPU, 3.1 GHz and 32G RAM. M-Audio 1010 sound card.
