Grace period ? Vegas Movie Studio upgrade to 16 just before 17 release

Hello dear Vegas team,

I feel frustrated as I just upgraded my Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 14 to 16 last April 28, just one week before the 17 release. And now I have to pay full upgrade price again. For many other software I do use, there is always a grace period giving free access to new version when upgraded to the previous a few days/weeks before the new release.

How does this work here ?

I had the same issue. I contacted Sales and they refunded my upgrade to 16 so I could then upgrade to 17

As @FayFen suggests there may be a time frame for the solution @DM-Guitar55 was able to get.
