@wwaag - Oh, is that why KP won’t work? However RE does.

wwaag wrote on 3/18/2022, 2:26 PM

@Grazie

Yes since KP uses the FrameServer and in RE you can use Vegas templates.

@wwaag I can confirm the crashes. I use KwikPreview a lot, and each time.... crash to desktop.

I too hope this can be resolved quickly.

Hi Wayne. Recently Vegas started crashing as soon as I click on the HOS help icon. This happens in both Vegas Pro 13 and Vegas Pro 15. Is there a fix availble?

@wwaag - Well that's great news, you've done a mountain of work- eh? Much appreciated. Any idea of an ETA on its landing? I've become addicted to KP.

Reyfox wrote on 6/14/2022, 3:15 AM

@wwaag like @Grazie, I too am addicted to KP!

Grazie wrote on 6/14/2022, 3:51 AM

@Reyfox - I’m addicted so much, I have the activation KEYSTROKE set to one of my buttons on my Contour Shuttle Pro - BOSH! Done ✅ , then up rises KP and I have full Framerates of whatever I’m working on stunning 🤩 .

Reyfox wrote on 6/14/2022, 8:24 AM

@Grazie KP is an essential part of my workflow. It gets used in every project I work on. I can't wait to have it back!

Musicvid wrote on 6/14/2022, 8:47 AM

Glad to see our guru Wayne back in full capacity! I tested the Cumincode trial and it does indeed work with latest Vegas builds. Fingers crossed.

Grazie wrote on 6/14/2022, 9:28 AM

@Musicvid - Were you required to purchase Cumincode FS?

Musicvid wrote on 6/14/2022, 9:48 AM

I just downloaded the trial to check it/

To clear up any misunderstanding, the CuminCode FrameServer (CCFS) has been working in HOS since last September. There are significant advantages including true10 bit frameserving and virtual mode which enables Vegas to be opened directly in pretty much any application. Unlike the original DebugMode FS, it is a paid application, which at the moment costs a nominal $25. Even though CCFS will be included in HOS, it will remain a paid application which will be included in the purchase price of future HOS licenses. It is planned that no separate activation be required when included in the HOS license. For those with an existing license, a purchase upgrade will be available--the exact details are yet to be determined. My recommendation to anyone wanting to use the latest versions of Vegas 19 and also use the rendering scripts in HOS including KP--just purchase the CCFS license now. At most, you would probably save $10 by waiting until the upgrade licenses are available.

I'm not seeing CCFS as a Render Option in VP19. The installer makes no reference to it in Vp19:

No warning on the Purchase site that it isn't going to install for VP19:

I can confirm it's working nicely in VP18. Did I miss the MEMO on this not being available inVP19, or what?

douglas_clark wrote on 6/15/2022, 8:28 AM

@Grazie CCFS is a choice in my VP19 b636 render dialog. I don't remember doing anything with CCFS when I upgraded from VP18 to VP19. I have however not used it lately, so I can't confirm it works VP19 -- but it is there.

@douglas_clark - Thank you, but no, I don’t see it in the Render As menu. Also, I uninstalled Satish’s FS prior to installing CCFS. I see you have BOTH in the Render As menu as options. Do I need to have BOTH?

Joelson wrote on 6/15/2022, 3:07 PM

@Grazie

Just select "Magix Vegas Plugin - from Vegas 18" and choose the VEGAS Pro 19 directory.

See the video bellow

Grazie wrote on 6/15/2022, 3:30 PM

@Joelson - Thank you, and yes that worked. Personally, I'd call that an Installer Bug.

Grazie wrote on 6/15/2022, 3:39 PM

OK, back with the Program: KwikPreview running top-notch speed Previews.

wwaag wrote on 6/15/2022, 6:27 PM

For anyone installing CCFS. Once installed, if you re-run the HOS setup, it will detect that CCFS has been installed and then add the necessary files for all Magix versions of Vegas that are present as well as Sony V13.
