Is 720p the highest quality disc that can be burned with DVD Architect or is there an option to burn at a full HD quality setting somewhere? I have all of these files that I just rendered in Vegas Pro in 1920 x 1080 but now Architect is going to render down my beautiful files!!
You can only get a very small amount of full HD on a DVD. Blu-ray is the way to go.
Or: From the Vegas timeline, select Tools>Burn Disc>Blu-Ray Disc. (But put a DVD in) Then choose either MainConcept MPEG 2 or Sony AVC MPG4 codec with bit rates ranging from 8 to 25 Mbps at 1440X1080 or 1920X1080. I've not done this myself, so can't vouch for it!
The 'Or' option is not working any more. The builds released late 2011 and after dropped this. https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4415/kw/
You can 'render image' but not 'render image and burn' (to DVD in Burn disc / blu-ray disc ).
This subject was covered many times on the DVD Architect and Vegas Pro fora over the last few years...
Here are two results I got from a quick search. Most recently, if I make a round and shiny DVD with HD content I use the Sony AVC codec, but in the past I always used MPEG-2.
