Help needed - where are proxy files located?

I have to edit a video quickly and my regular desktop is being moved and hence not set up. I have my MS installed also on the laptop, exactly for cases like these - when one of the pcs is unavailable - and so I've transferred the files from the cameras to a fast USB disk and created the MS project on the same disk. The idea is that when I have the desktop set up I can simply plug in the USB disk and I'm good to go: all locations are just the same so the project will work out of the box.

The project is now created and the source video copied on the USB disk.

However, creating proxies is a slow operation so I thought of kicking that off on the laptop as well to gain time, but realized I have no idea where the proxies are supposed to be created or which form they have - and of course if they end up someplace else than the USB disk, it'll be pointless to create them as they won't be available to MS when I'll swap to the desktop.

Anyone in the know? Where are the proxies stored? And, even if they are created in, say, a Windows temp directory - is it enough to copy them over on the other computer when I swap?

Thx!

Movie Studio Platinum creates video proxy files (.sfvp0) alongside the original files in Windows Explorer. You will not see these files in the Project Media window or Movie Studio Platinum Explorer. (From online Help)

Thanks, sounds great! So worth having the laptop create them while I re-rig the desktop. :)
