Help with the Sony Vegas 17 Slow-mo Plugin

ramsey-f wrote on 8/15/2022, 4:19 PM

Hi there,

I've been trying to use the slow-motion plugin, however, have run into this error, no matter what quality I use:

I've tried turning GPU acceleration of video processing which does get rid of the error but results in the video looking strange and almost warped.

I suspect it may be to do with my graphics card being quite old (my previous one broke, so I've had to switch to my old one until I can afford a new one), but wanted to ask just in case.

Many thanks,

Ramsey

Using:

  • Sony Vegas Pro 17
  • Windows 11 Home
  • AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
  • 16 GB RAM

Please note that VEGAS Pro version 17 comes from MAGIX / Vegas Creative Software. Sony is not involved.

I don't have "Sony" Vegas Pro 17 (there is no such software), but do have VP18 and 19 and I did not receive any error messages when I added VEGAS Slow Motion to a clip.

Maybe because the user didn't get a specific graphics card model number nor any other computer specs?? Most of those graphics cards are of the 2GB RAM variety.
