Hi - In January of 2020, I upgraded from Vegas Pro 15 (edit) to Vegas Pro 17 (edit). All is working fine EXCEPT, I recently attempted to edit a veg project that I had saved prior to the upgrade. The project loaded just fine but I received the following "error" message:
Warning: An error occurred when attempting to open a file from a previous version.
Warning: An error occurred when loading a plug-in or plug-ins. The plug-ins specified are not loaded on this system.
{Svfx:com.FXHOME.HitFilm.LightFlares}
The missing Fx plug-in was part of a HitFilm bundle offered with Pro 15, back in the day, but clearly did not transfer to Pro 17. There were about 10 such Fx in the bundle and I would like to fix this problem so that it does not happen again when I am under deadline on another project.
Final note: I downloaded both Pro 15 and Pro 17 from Magix - I did not get physical media. When I look at the download files (installers), there is nothing specific to HitFilm. Thus, I suspect it is part of the Pro 15 installer but I am hesitant to launch it b/c it might damage the current Pro 17 installation. Also, there is no guarantee that the will work with Pro 17, given the rearchitecting that happened between versions.
Is there a way to find my old HitFilm Fx and install them in the current installation of Pro 17? HitFilm (FXHome) is not able to help because the offer was a Magix bundle. If there is no solution- is there a new bundle that might be purchased for a modest amount that will still solve the problem of the missing Plug-ins?
Any insight would be very much appreciated.
Jeff
