How to Compress and Fit a Long Video onto a DVD in Vegas Pro 14

Rev Sir,

(1) I wish to know whether can I compress and fit a long video onto a DVD in Vegas Pro 14 under Tools/Burn Disc, without using DVD Architect.

(2) I also wish to know whether can I compress and fit a long video (an .mpeg video given by a videographer after editing) by using only DVD Architect.

Thanks,

Seetha Ramaiah

If your long video does not fit to a DL disc ("DVD-9") either, use DVD Architect that you seem to have.

How long is long? A standard 4.7 GB DVD might hold about 2-3 hours of Standard Definition video if compressed into DVD Architect. DVD Architect will give you an error if the whole thing won't fit.

@seetharamaiah-velicheti You asked the same questions over on the COW. And I’ve asked you the same questions that others here have asked you here too, to try and help you. So I’ll ask here, again, what is the Runtime meaning, how long is your video? 😏

I tend to think of one and a quarter to one and a half hours as being the acceptable limit for SD on a 4.6 DVD as I've found that the quality begins to slip away if you try yo load more than that on to the disc.
