And I'm glad there's an option but t00000x glad that it's not the default. I hate programs that don't have keyboard shortcuts for commonly used operations. Having to move the mouse is a billion times slower.

This is also my individual desire. I can say with a mad vitality that Vegaspro has just one advantage than the other: the S-key!

Keyboard shortcuts are so beautiful that I redefine the D-key only for one task: Delete event (with right mouse click).

I don't care whether the other people use it as a loop-key for Tool-selecting or what else, but I care if this topic here derogates from "how to disable xxx-function" to "many users wanna it get out!" -- sure the decision will not be made by these many users but...

@Marco. es war nur ein Scherz (und das Schere-Symbol ist natürlich aus meinem Toolbar entfernt, ohne Rückhalt).

I support this long-outstanding request to let users disable the "double-click event edge to enter Expanded Edit Mode" default behavior... maybe call the preferences setting "double click event edge launches expanded edit mode?" Y/N

We don't do it often, but often enough that every time we go ARRRGHHHHHHH and it throws off our good editing mojo. Seems like a minor customization enhancement that would make a whole bunch of users happy, with no downside I can think of.

Please note that the thread title should actually be  "How to disable [event edge double-click to engage] Expanded Edit mode [in VEGAS Pro]".
