How to go back and edit a text box

matonanjin wrote on 10/25/2019, 9:26 AM

I am completely aware of how stupid and simple of question this is. And I'm embarrassed at the fact I can't figure it out. I have created a text box. I copied it and put the copy in a different location in the timeline. Now I want to modify the copy. How do I open the copy so that I can modify it? (Actually I can't even figure out how to go back and edit the original)

Try right-clicking on the timeline event (your "clip") and click "Edit Generated Media...".

And the Horizontal scroll bar (at the bottom of the timeline): "Drag the scroll box to pan the view of the project left or right. The ends of the scroll bar also function as zoom controls. You can zoom the project in and out by dragging the edges of the scroll box."

Learn also about the Hamburger button from online Help (F1) item The Movie Studio Platinum Window. And read section 1 here.

vkmast, thank you! Will my post automatically be submitted for consideration for the trophy for dumbest question of the week? Or do I have to somehow formally enter it?

Thanks again.

@matonanjin as you know "(there's) no such thing as a dumb question" and your post was totally in line with CR#2 point 1. 🙂

maton, dumb questions are the lubricant on the gears that get the forums going...
