How to install w/ no serial number given

Hi all,

I bought Vegas PRO 13 outright a number of years ago, where I was emailed a voucher code and link to the software download installation webpage. I've had the program installed on my old laptop for at least 7 years.

I've recently (finally) bought a new laptop, and I'd like to install the Vegas PRO program on my new device.

I copied the program files over to my new laptop and launched the installation. However, to access the full program I'm being prompted to supply a serial number. I was only ever given a voucher code (no serial number at all, I've checked the original purchase email). The original link to the download page is redirecting to MAGIX, but it won't accept my voucher code there.

Any help or advice is appreciated, I'm at a loss here. Thanks.

If you had it installed on your old laptop then it would have been registered on your Magix account and the serial number will be there plus the Download manager where you can download the latest VP13 build. Your Magix account can be found here https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/ but you need the original email address that you used when purchasing. Presumably you have that as you mention your original purchase email.

If you still have your old device with a working VP 13 installation, you'll find your serial number under Help > About Vegas Pro... > General.

You may also get there a pop-up with a very inexpensive offer to upgrade to VEGAS Edit 19.

P.S. If you have a Sony Vegas Pro 13 (build 453 or earlier) and remember your sonycreativesoftware.com log-in details, see if you can find your s/n there under My Account > My Software.
