Hmm.... Should I give you a fish or teach you how to fish? That is the question.

I'll do the latter.

Use the Search link above to search for posts with youtube in them. There may with instructions and tips on how to do that.

Please send the fish!
Lots of info in Search but none gives the info I am after.
I have got as far as the little window that pops up in Platinum 12, asking for video title etc. I fill it all in, but there is no "Go" button.
Have used, and like, WMV, but how to get delivery of it from Sony?

Render the file, upload manually. Don't use MS.

In order to discover how to render the file I clicked on "Show me how" and chose "Make Movie".
Advised by “Show me how” to choose “Share it online”. Did that.
Not clear where the finished article would be found, what it would be called (the video’s title is “Mr Macaw”) or what the file’s suffix would be.
Also please explain what “Don’t use MS” means in this case.

I'm not (M)Smart, or even close, but by "Don't use M(ovie) S(tudio)" he meant that you use Youtube to upload your videos.¹ and ¹¹
"Search"¹¹¹ with the proper keywords should have found you threads like this one. They suggest using a template that's optimized for YouTube.
You'll find such Internet templates in M(ovie) S(tudio) Platinum 12 under Project > Render As... > Output Format Sony AVC/MVC. Double-click that heading to see the templates.

a resident fishmonger

¹) you can safely use MS(mart's) recommendations though.

¹¹¹) Search is our best friend here

Hello there vkmast,
No need to enquire if you deliver when in your residential situation! You have certainly brought exactly what I was after:
1. That MS wasn't the expected abbreviation for Microsoft,
2. That "Render" is now to be found under "Project",
3. That thoughtful suggestions can provide helpful answers.
The animation, "Mr Macaw" is now safely ensconced in YouTube.
Very many thanks and all good wishes,
Geoff
