How to recover Vegas Pro 10.0e project with another cheaper software??

I have an old data harddisk containing my old Vegas Pro 10.0e files and projects from a previous job.  That studio don't use this software anymore and they don't have the original Vegas computer, installation disk or serial number.

I just want to be able to open my projects, listen it (if they can have some value for me) and render it if I want to keep it as final mixdown for my archives.

I don't have personnally the budget to purchase the new Vegas Pro software.  There is another less expensive product in the family, I can use to be able to open my old Vegas 10.0 projects, listen it and render it to archive.

I hope you will have some suggestions for me.

You may be able to find a (used) version of VP-10 and higher somewhere, You cannot get the upgrade discount though if it was previously registered should you decide to purchase the latest version (currently VP-17).

If I well understand, if I don't want to purchase a brand new VP (because I don't need it in my new job) it is to find someone who have old VP-10 installations disks already registered.  Install it on my personal computer check what I want to keep and archive as mixdown.

No other basic software of the Sony or Magix family can read a .VEG file.

See if you can still download and install SVPro 10e as a trial to work for 30 days.
