I have a timecode on my video,I have never added it there on purpose, it just randomly appeared and I CANT get rid of it, I have watched YouTube etc. Need help!
This is possible due to the way the video was made, videocam, photocam, smartphone or screencapture. That must be set in the settings of the medium that made your video. In an edit program as Vegas you can hide it a little, for instance by duplicating the track and use the FX Cooky Cutter
Have you checked that the timecode fX is not applied to media in the Media Pool, the track and the event level?
How do I get to the "media pool?" Other than that I have not found the timecode applied anywhere on the track. Quite irritating, because Im ready to render my video but timecode is messing it up
So you did not see any green on your FX icons in Track headers or Project Media window? Press hamburger button and Edit visible button set in Track list to show the Track FX icon. And/or select files in PM window to see if any of them turns FX icon green.

I didn’t do anything

If you see timecode on your source footage in VLC or Media Player, that means it is part of the source video and cannot be turned off or removed.
I apologize for the trip down memory lane. Things to keep in mind...
1) People who lived through the 1960s are prone to flashbacks.
2) The same constructs in applications are frequently called by different names over time, even in the same application.
3) The same constructs in applications are often called by different names, even in applications by the same software group.
Let me assure you that CD Architect 5.2 was not the first Sonic Foundry / Sony / Magix application that I ever used.
The construct for where the media resides these days is "Project Media", though I had to open Vegas 14 to get the name back into my head.
Once I have a name for something, I don't need to name it again. You should have seen me in discussions with my peers in my jobs in IT over the thirty-nine years of my career.
There is an option to add timecode to all media and there is no green fx shown, only in Project Media. Have you started the "Add timecode to all Media " - script? If so, then start "Remove Timecode from all Media".
