Hub Explorer empty

Zkuggi wrote on 11/21/2022, 5:16 PM

I just upgraded to Vegas Post 20 365 version.

Was interested in the Vegas hub that comes with the subscription model. First day I tried the program out I could see everything in Hub Explorer.

Now that I tried to dive deeper into it it always appears empty:

No matter what I do. Anyone experienced this and managed to fix it?

Did you log in to the hub?

@jetdv

Yes. And tried to log in and out multiple times.

This worked on day 1.

Quick update on debugging this.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the program does not work.

Starting Vegas Pro 20 while holding ctrl+shift and clear the cache (put program in factory mode) does not work.

I am logged in because all content in the Vegas Hub shows and I am able to download stock footage that can be seen on my hard drive. It just doesn't show in the Hub Explorer window that is still just empty.

Installing the program under another account on my Windows 11 machine DOES WORK. Hub explorer appears normally there.

So somehow this seems to be related to the account profile on my computer but I haven't figured out what it is.

Opened a ticket with Magix Support.

I'll update here once the solution is found.

I'm also having this issue. VEGAS Hub simply doesn't display my downloads.

I have an open ticket with Magix support about this.

Since the HUB explorer works under other account they suggested this:

  • If the issue was resolved in the hidden admin account then that might point to a permissions issue on your main account. Let's try the following:
  • Close the program if it is running.
  • WARNING: The next step will require you to make changes in the Windows Registry. The Registry is a very sensitive area to work in. If you are not comfortable with advanced configuration and system changes, ask an administrator to help you with this.
  • Next, open the Registry Editor. To do this on Windows, press the Windows key and R together on your keyboard. In the window that appears, type REGEDIT and press Enter. If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.
  • In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following directory:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Magix\VEGAS Pro\20.0
  • With each of the named folder in the above file path right click said folders and go to Permissions. Make sure your account has full control of each folder and apply.

This did not work for me but I would be interested to hear if this works for others with same issue.

Been kind of slow progress around the holidays. Hopefuly it will get resolved soon. I shall post the solition here if it works.

Hi there! Sounds like there is something wrong with the user dependent application data. There are a few things you can try out:

1. Navigate to %appdata%\Vegas and delete the folder named ".ThumbnailCache".

If this doesn't work for you, you can also

2. Navgate to %appdata%\Vegas\HubData and rename or delete the file named "VegasDMAM". (renaming is probably safer in the first place)

Hope this helps
