I Am Done With Vegas 18 Refund Please

Sony Vegas Pro 9 is working fine and I upgraded last week to Magix Vegas Pro 18 to use utilize the new features however I am very disappointed that V18 is not working and crashes every every time. It crashes when I play back the timeline without any effects applied. My IT friend tried helping me and failed to fix the problem.

Simply put V18 is not stable enough for editing and frankly I did not pay my hard earned money to waste time in troubleshooting. When I buy any software I expect it to work and do its simplest job without crashing. I am back again to V9 and want full refund please.

I have the same experience. I have been using Vegas since the year 2000. I have many films built on Vegas. Now Magix has loaded a lot of half developed plugins to try and get market-share, but it has abandoned the professional user. I expected this, since their other software is for the amateur user. Vegas 16 was ok, 17 started to crash a lot. 18 crashes ALL THE TIME. And for you other users who say, "you will not get your money back" only reaffirms the character of this company. Magix. Tragic.

My biggest mistake that I buyed the upgrade without trying it first but I expected it to work out of the box because V9 is working fine on my new powerful computer.

Hi Robert-Fredericks

I am using Vegas since version 6 and do not remember it crashed once. It is shame Magix released V18 in this Beta situation. I have no experience with V16 from where I can download trial? As for refund, I learned that I have 30 days but too bad Magix make it very hard to contact them. I searched and did not find their email address.

No is saying that you will not get your money back, they said that you will not get it back here, as this is a user forum, not Magix support.

You received an order confirmation from Magix - it comes with an email address. Simply reply to that email saying that you want a refund.

Oops I did not read that because my eyes was searching for an email address. Anyway I already replied to that email 3 days ago and I did not get a reply. I was hoping for another email address.

PS. Yes I am not technical person but I know how to move the mouse and click on the reply button.
