I can't search for music on my computer

Ok so I was trying to search for a song in sony vegas movie studio platium 12 and it won't let me search for songs and when I go to the folder it's not there please help me find a way to search for stuff again. So how I search is I go to the import video button and go to music and the top right corner has a search button and it does not load anything when i type and when i go to the folder the song is not listed please help.

Ok so when you hit the import button for videos I use that for songs too but there is a search bar at the top right corner of my screen and I would type the songs name but for my grandpas furnial video we are using a beach boys song he liked but it wont let me search or show the song in my files and I cleared the cache and nothing do I re install .
