I can't see my video. Please help

So I have multiple layers for video tracks, so that I can add effects as I wish. Whenever I click off of the top video track, the rest of the video is black, so the preview is only showing the top rack of effects and not the video itself.

^There is a picture of what I am talking about. What the heck is going on? This is very annoying.

Have you checked your Opacity Levels?

See what happens if you do this

Track 3 says "media is offline" meaning you have turned it off or it is not in the directory Vegas is looking for it.  The cursor is in a position that Track 1 is empty and Track 2 is empty and Tract 3 is empty (off) so there is nothing to see in the preview window.  You don't get to see track 3 FX effects unless the media (video) is online at the track 3.

It just makes the effect less visible, with the rest still black.

@Cornico, It is in "My Videos", which is where the top track is from as well.

Deleting the video and then replacing it seemed to have fixed it. Is there another solution to this in the future to bring the file back online without removing and replacing it? I feel that could be bothersome in the future.

@Dddd222ddd See the event's opacity envelope

Opacity is 100 % and Opacity is 0 % and Opacity is 50 % with EventFX
