Hi Jeff,

If there isn't a cut at the exact place on the timeline you need to insert, make the cut with the 'S' key. Position the cursor at this place on the timeline.

Click on 'Options', scroll down to 'Ripple'. A sub-menu will open. Check to see if 'Auto Ripple' is checked, if not check it.

Then drag your 1 minute media to the timeline at the cursor, everything to the right will be forced over.

Note: there are 3 Auto Ripple settings, and the keyboard shortcut is 'Ctrl+L'.

And you're of course inserting media and creating an event on the timeline, not inserting track.
