"Insert/Remove Envelope" when making speed paint

I purchased Vegas Movie Studio 14 Platinum Steam Edition. This is one of the first times I've used this software. Usually tutorials are a help, but not this time around.

So I'm trying to create a tutorial that also has speed paint elements. These speed painting portions CANNOT be too long. No one will watch that. AND I NEED THOSE IN THE VIDEO otherwise the entire video wont make sense. And for some reason the time stretch/Compress tool doesn't allow you to just speed up your video to your desired length...

This is the best tutorial that I've found about what I should do.

First off, the only technique for a speed paint, that this guy mentions, is the time stretch tool... which is the problem to begin with. It doesn't speed it up even close to the speed it needs to be.

So... I'm SUPPOSED to right click on the VIDEO CLIP. This brings up a drop down list. So far so good. But where things go sour is where I'm supposed to click on "Insert/Remove Envelope > Velocity". And there is no "Insert/Remove Envelope" on the drop down list. But if I go to the layer properties section to the left, if I right click on that, "Insert/Remove Envelope" finally appears. The problem with this new accomplishment is that it doesn't have "Velocity" on the list. Instead it has "Composite Level" and "Fade To Color", clearly neither of these are what I need.

So my deadline is coming up. And I'm going to wind up with an ungodly long video that no one is going to watch and I'll never use this software that I purchased ever again, unless this can get resolved...

The hardware on my computer isn't the issue.

All of the hardware is one week old.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.60 GHz

Installed Memory (RAM): 16.0 GB

System Type: 64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor.

OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

That video tutorial above refers to Vegas Pro. Velocity Envelope is a Vegas Pro only feature which is not available in Movie Studio. In Movie Studio fastest time lapse speed available for video is 4x. So in Movie Studio you would need to render x times and each time again applying the 4x speed to get faster time lapse.

Well that sucks. I mean... PLATINUM is supposed to be more valuable that gold. This is a basic feature in editing software. What moron came up with this idea? The company behind this, Sony, I believe, is it run and operated by retarded chimps?

A good number of people follow my video blog. I was hoping to leave a positive review of this software once I became accustomed to using it. But evidently I bought the faulty product that's intentionally missing super basic features. A decent number of people follow my video blog, by the way. I think people need to be warned to stay away from any editing software with the SONY brand attached to it.

The Time Stretch tool would be enough, if it actually sped the video up to desired speeds. 4X speed is a joke for a product with a price tag over $10.

Wondershare Filmora is a rotting pile of dog crap and it costs $50. It's able to speed video clips up to 10X speed, and even that's a joke. I'm not trying to remake the movie "300". Using the velocity feature to make "Pro Level" videos is hilarious. That's a dated editing style these days.

Platinum my ass... this has less value than zinc. Call it that. Call it Sony Vegas Movie Studio Zinc. It'd be more accurate.

What a waste of money.

Oh, and this site crashed. I waited a good long while for this website to pay the bills. And worse, it left a friendly message saying "Whatever your did, you broke it"... I love being told I'm at fault when it's the scam artists that can't keep their website up... Sony needs to get a better domain or something. Either that or just go out of business and stop scamming people.

That's the plan.

Evidently it's my fault Sony intentionally releases faulty products. And it's my fault when the site crashes.

HAS to be run and operated by retarded chimps. HAS to be.

Sony has nothing to do with this any more. Next time, please test with the trial (any new application you consider).

No need to check this li'l and inexpensive plugin now.
