I purchased Vegas Movie Studio 14 Platinum Steam Edition. This is one of the first times I've used this software. Usually tutorials are a help, but not this time around.
So I'm trying to create a tutorial that also has speed paint elements. These speed painting portions CANNOT be too long. No one will watch that. AND I NEED THOSE IN THE VIDEO otherwise the entire video wont make sense. And for some reason the time stretch/Compress tool doesn't allow you to just speed up your video to your desired length...
This is the best tutorial that I've found about what I should do.
First off, the only technique for a speed paint, that this guy mentions, is the time stretch tool... which is the problem to begin with. It doesn't speed it up even close to the speed it needs to be.
So... I'm SUPPOSED to right click on the VIDEO CLIP. This brings up a drop down list. So far so good. But where things go sour is where I'm supposed to click on "Insert/Remove Envelope > Velocity". And there is no "Insert/Remove Envelope" on the drop down list. But if I go to the layer properties section to the left, if I right click on that, "Insert/Remove Envelope" finally appears. The problem with this new accomplishment is that it doesn't have "Velocity" on the list. Instead it has "Composite Level" and "Fade To Color", clearly neither of these are what I need.
So my deadline is coming up. And I'm going to wind up with an ungodly long video that no one is going to watch and I'll never use this software that I purchased ever again, unless this can get resolved...
The hardware on my computer isn't the issue.
All of the hardware is one week old.
