Hello. I am trying to install a trial version of Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum on my new computer so I can test it and see if I want to keep using it, but I've been encountering installation errors every time.

By the time it gets close to the end, the installation rolls back and says "ERROR: -2147163964 occurred during installation. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

Here are the things I have tried so far:

• Running setup file as administrator
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages (2015-2019, 2013, 2012, 2010)
• Checking the registry for issues using CCleaner
• Installing on my administrator account
• Installing the program to a different folder
• Repairing Microsoft .NET Framework
• Downloading from a direct link

I am using Windows 10, and the installer I am running is Build 143.

Any help would be appreciated.
