I recently upgraded from VEGAS Movie Studio 14 Platinum to VEGAS Movie Studio 17 Suite and at the end of the installation the Update Notifier shows a yellow triangle and the installation just stops. The Magix Music Maker opens and it asks for a serial number which i have not received with my online purchase. This is very frustrating as I have been messing with the install for 4 hours looking for answers.
I am installing the software on a OMEN laptop if that helps.
After you download from the prompt and select the option to update when the program is closed, C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Movie Studio Platinum\17.0 should include VMSPEUpdate.exe (in your case probably Suite instead of Platinum).
