Invalid serial number Vegas movie studio 16

I have downloaded and activated the product but I can not register. It says invalid serial number. I’m typing it straight from the email that was sent to me.

Do you get error code -14? Are you sure there are no typing errors (copy and paste if possible) and the serial number is for that program (matching to the program you downloaded, e.g. MS basic vs. MS Platinum)? If so, Ask Support.
