Dear sirs,

I contacted you because I want to buy Sony Vega Pro 18 for my work, but I am not sure if the license is permanent. May you explain me how to download it and if the license is permanent?

If I press on Dyspatch by mail, before the download, will I get a permanent key to download it ?Is it permanent?

I wait your answers and thank you in advance.

Best regards

Yes, for Vegas Pro and Vegas Pro Edit it's a perpetual license. Only Vegas Pro 365 is a subscription.

The key (serial) will be in your Magix account. You can always login to download the software again and find the serial number, too.

I don't know about mail as I only bought it electronically from https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/

Please note that this is a user forum and is not a direct means of communication with MAGIX sales.

First point, Sony has not been involved with Vegas Pro for some 5 years. Since then Vegas Pro has been a division of MAGIX. Vegas Pro 14 - 18 have all been released under the MAGIX umbrella.

But to your basic question - if you buy Vegas Pro 18 as per:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/

... you can under current arrangements use Vegas Pro in perpetuity and access all updates made to Vegas Pro 18, but you would need to purchase an update to move on to Vegas Pro 19 when that version is released - typically in August but no guarantee of that for 2021.

Go to the web site's online Shop (scroll down https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/ (or your territory's version of that URL, including "de", "gb", "ca", "int" etc.) to see this

If you select a license type "Purchase" and a purchase option "New purchase", you buy the perpetual license, that is the full, time-unlimited version of the program.

If you buy the download version, you should receive the order confirmation email which contains all download links and activation codes (serial number).

@Dexcon a typo in version (VP 14 is not available from MAGIX any more)?

And if you own a previous version, you can upgrade to the latest version at a special upgrade price. Updates are new builds of a version and free.

See here for the links to your VEGAS/MAGIX Account.
