Is it possible to enlarge "Project Media" thumbnails?

Qoncussion wrote on 11/1/2018, 4:42 PM

I have been enjoying the new scrubbing feature in VP16. By scrubbing over my ready-made Subclips I can find the scene I am looking for - all good so far. Is there any way to enlarge the thumbnail size in the Project Media list? At a screen resolution of 1920x1200 on 24" monitors, those buggers are hard for my old eyes to see much detail - especially when reviewing multiple drone shots over a forest. When flying over thousands of trees, every shot looks the same in the tiny thumbnails.

Thanks!

1. Vá para a janela Project Media;

2. Segure a tecla CNTRL;

3. Posicione o cursor do mouse sobre a janela Project Media;

4. Use o botão de rolagem do mouse para aumentar ou diminuir a exibição de miniaturas;

Try this in the Project Media window as well.

@Former user please put back that English version as well for the users that don't click links :)

Perfect! That worked! Here's the English version for anyone who finds this down the line:

1. Go to the Project Media window;
2. Hold down the CNTRL;
3. Position the mouse cursor over the Project Media window;
4. Use the scroll wheel to increase or decrease the thumbnail display;

I thought I had stayed in English, but something broke the translation and left in Portuguese that is my official language.

A small footnote from the linked comment by Dexcon. "The downside is that thumbnail sizes do revert to default size in closing/re-opening VP, but CTRL-mouse wheel is quite easy. I'm not aware of anyway to 'save' the larger size."

Thank you for pointing this out. We should make these persist. Also, we will examine the possibility of allowing the thumbnails in the project media window to be increased in size even more than we are right now.

I have been using a joystick 3 button mouse for 20 years that I love but it doesn't have a scroll wheel. Is there anyway to enlarge the thumbnails without a scroll wheel??

Currently, no. We have been toying with the idea of adding a slider to the interface to also do the resizing. The truth is, though, this is pretty low on our priority list. But, thank you for the input.
