Is it possible to search video plugins...?

Qoncussion wrote on 11/4/2018, 11:56 AM

When the screen of video FX plugins comes up in VP16 Suite, there are so many to choose from. I generally know what I want, but don't see any option for searching the list to narrow it down to just those that I want.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

Do you mean in addition to this option in several windows?

"You can type in the Search plug-ins box to find plug-ins. For example, if you wanted to find a specific color-correction plug-in, you could type "color" in the box to display only plug-ins that include the term "color" in the plug-in name, description, or group name."

That's exactly the type of option I am looking for - but take a look here... I don't see a search box anywhere. What am I missing?

Fair enough... I'll use the Video FX window to drop the FX I need onto the track. Thanks for your help!

TBH, I hope they add the Search option to ALL plugin windows.

I would love to be able to make my own custom folders with the fx or media generators I used most often.

+100 !!!!!!!
Please Magix - that can not be that difficult - we've been discussing that for many versions...... with no result.😤

Try 'Macrogenerator'  http://www.macrogenerator.net/documentation.html.  It was written as an addon for Edius but I understand it works with Vegas. http://www.macrogenerator.net/Help/MacroGenerator%20Appendix%20Vegas.pdf.

Use it extensively within Edius but not with Vegas.   You can have a palette containing say your most used FX's.  Click from timeline clip to palette to add FX to clip.
