Don't get me wrong, having Vegas Pro on Steam is very convenient because I can carry around a portable Steam installation on a flash drive or similar, and then simply install Vegas Pro on any computer and have it work with no fuss.

The problem I'm having though is that the Steam version has several pretty glaring problems, most of them related to it being tied to Steam- namely, you can only have one instance of the program running, and you also cannot drag & drop files onto the media bin or timeline, they have to be imported manually. Issues like these are really hampering my enjoyment of the program because I use that functionality in just about every project I work on. The program's several versions behind the current one and there have been a LOT of features added/fixed since the current Steam build.

I also just plain want to use Vegas without having to have Steam open when I'm on my home PC and there's no need for it. I'd like to know if there's a way to transfer my license so I can just use the independent program instead.
