I suppose you could always ask MAGIX Customer Service. This page states that "If you already own MAGIX software, you can benefit from exclusive upgrade offers and the latest features. Contact our customer service for more information."

I and several others only own SCS versions of Vegas Pro or the Movie Studio product line, so it seems we are now out as far as getting special upgrade pricing from MAGIX unless they choose to act otherwise. I was under the impression that the software takeover made the apps "MAGIX software", but it does not seem to be so.
