Lag clips on the timeline (with video)

Koteshka wrote on 5/13/2019, 8:32 AM

When I move the clips, they lag. When I put ignore event grouping lays even harder. Such a problem with any video.

There was never such a problem on the same computer. The most interesting thing is that in safe mode everything works fine.

Windows 10 ltsc 1809

Which build of Vegas Pro 16 do you use?

Eagle Six wrote on 5/13/2019, 8:57 AM

@Koteshka not sure if this has anything to do with your issue (although perhaps @Marco. has a suspicion), but it appears your clip is Variable Frame Rate. You could use the free app ER Media Tool Kit, to convert it to Constant Frame Rate and then compare how that works on the timeline to your original source. I tried to open a variety of video files. All the same. I used to use win 7, after reinstalling the system on windows 10 there was such a problem. But what is very important. In safe mode, everything works fine. checked for build 424 and build 307. There is a problem on both versions

I checked build 307 & build 424. Both versions have this problem.

I'm using VP16/424 and VP15/416, Windows 10 Pro/1809. I don't have your source media, but what I have works well without 'Safe Mode'. My system specs are in my Signature.

tomorrow I will try to reinstall windows 10. and install mvp16 on a clean Windows. I will report later what happened

1 question. What programs and libraries do you recommend to install for the correct operation of mvp16?

I'm not sure what exactly you are referring to as 'libraries'? Are you in reference to the Windows 10 or MVP16?

As far as Windows 10, I installed the 1809 as downloaded. As far as MVP16, like wise I install the download and updates as provided from Magix. I do not install any 'New Blue' as I do not use their Fx's and have had problems with them in the past, which also effects some of my other programs.

I meant vcredist or framework or other for windows

I'd only install anything like that if Vegas requests it when you try to install it.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

Geforce RTX 3090
