I would like my last project to automatically open when I start VMS11 PE, vista...
In preferences,. I selected General and checked the box "Automatically open last project on start up.... " but it does not come auto... I have to get it from Project, open and select it from the list below.... What else should I do ?
Thanks.

Not sure about 11, but in earlier versions all you had to do is not CLOSE the project. In other words, yes, do SAVE the project, but once you've done that just quit Vegas (leaving the project on screen)

Again, be sure to SAVE the project before you quit Vegas.

Works that way in 11 Platinum too. Save the project and exit VMS. When you restart VMS, it will bring up your project.

rdandrea, This is the way I do as well... but the last project exited... doesn't come up right away..when I restart VMS 11 HD PE .production suite. I have to search it in the "projects" listed.... (of course it is the first one on the list...once clicked on... it opens without problem.... but I used to have my latest closed project opening right away when restarting VMS 9 PE....

I don't use it but ran a test, works for me on my XP system. Could it have something to do with your system being Vista?

I had no problems with VMS 9 PE and Vista..... and just tried it again... flawless... I must have another setting somewhere to correct.in VMS 11 PE.. but which one....?

Under Options/Preferences/General the first checkbox is "Automatically open last project on startup"

Hi.

Didn't the OP mention that in his OP?

Yes he did. I scrolled back and noticed that just now.

Is your project on an external drive?

NO..it is not on an external drive but. on different internal drive than the installed VMS 11 PE. I have no problem with DVDA 5.0... it comes up right away... and yes I checked the box in the preference... Like I said... it is not a big deal... just nice to have the project pop in up right away.....
