Lens Flares only visible while rendering?

I add a lens flare to the video track, but can't actually see it in the preview. However, when I render it, they show up. Any tips? I'm on Sony Vegas Pro 14. I've got a 1050ti as my graphics card.

You must have the Effects button toggled off on the preview window
