Limited Title Area

Hi,

Another newbie question....

I am working on a 1920x1080 PAL project, and I want to insert titles.

When I do so, the area within which the text appears is limited to a smaller rectangular area within the main picture. If the text is made larger by scaling the edges are cut off. The size of the text area is approximately half the picture height and width (perhaps a clue there?

Here is a sample of what I'm getting (attached).

I cannot reproduce your problem. I can scale far beyond the screen edges. With the slider it goes to 10 times max. Manually I can type values beyond 10, 50 for example. The edges are always cut-off by the screen edge and not earlier, like in your screenshot.

Hi - thanks for your reply.

I have just discovered that this problem only happens with titles on Track 2 (the one immediately above the main video track). If I put the same title on Track 3 the problem disappears.

I've also noticed that any video on Track 2 is also reduced to 50% with black all around.

To be on the safe side, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program - no change!

The track motion on track 2 must be altered. If you don't need track 2, just delete it.

Track 2 in VMS 15 Platinum is the new Picture-in-picture track. See Vegas Magazine: "The Picture-in-picture plug-in and the new picture-in-picture track make it easy to create sequences where one video is inset within the main video." Use david-tu's advice above.

Actually David it's not done by track motion. The new PIP FX has been placed as a track FX. It sure does cause some confusion.
